Why give a lucky horn as a gift?

Also known as "curniciello" in Naples, it is today one of the most famous good luck charms.

Considered a symbol of good omen since the Neolithic period due to its phallic shape, making it an emblem of fertility, virility, and physical strength.

The myth connects the lucky horn to the figure of Amalthea, the nurse of Zeus.

It is believed that this small object can ward off bad luck or even the evil eye. However, aside from superstition, today it represents one of those cult items that almost no one can do without.

The essential feature of the lucky horn is that it must be received as a gift; it should not be bought for oneself, as it will not bring the expected luck.
