Gold for Kids - Valentina Davino with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation

Every year, around 1,400 children and 800 adolescents fall ill with cancer in Italy: pediatric tumors still represent the leading cause of death due to illness in children and have a dramatic impact on their families.

Our small contribution to research continues, alongside the Veronesi Foundation, as sponsor of the Charity Dinner which took place on 10 May at the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, in Turin.

During the dinner, through a silent auction, one of our bracelets and one of our necklaces (strictly golden, since gold is the symbolic color for pediatric oncology Gold For Kids) were donated.

The project was started in 2014 by the Veronesi Foundation together with the Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (AEIOP) and its Foundation (Fieop) to support medical care and research on childhood and adolescent tumors and promote a correct scientific information.

Making an important contribution to the treatment of myeloid leukemia in children, increasing the probability of recovery and improving the quality of life, through the financing of facilities for immunotherapy treatments, is the objective of the evening and we at Valentina Davino Gioielli are pleased to be able to take part in it.
